Let’s get to it! 🚀
Why use Bulk edit?
The bulk edit functionality is created to simply select multiple records and perform a bulk edit to change multiple fields in one go.
Here are a few examples to give you an idea:
Assign a new account manager to multiple sales opportunities.
Enable mailing opt-out for several customers at once.
How to use Bulk edit
So, how do you perform a bulk edit? Let’s walk through a typical scenario: updating fields for multiple customers.
Navigate to any list you want to perform the bulk edit on. In this example a simple list of “All customers” is used. However, you can also create a filter of a view to be more specific of the items you want to edit. Click here to learn more about using a filter to create a list view.
Select all the records you want to perform the bulk edit on. By ticking the checkbox at the top, you can select 50 customers at once.
Click on the “Bulk change”-button at the bottom to open the Bulk change feature.
Click on the “Add a bulk action”-button to open the field picker. Choose the field you would like to update. In this example we will change the Account manager for the selected customers.
Want to make additional changes? You can add another bulk action, simply click on the “Add a bulk action”-button again.
In this example we will also enable the Mailing opt-out.
💡You can add as many bulk actions as you want, but remember, these changes will apply to all the selected records.
When you're ready, click “Save” in the bottom right corner. A warning message pops up to make sure you can not accidentally save the bulk changes. Once you are sure to save the changes, tick the box and click “Save” again.
Congratulations, you finished your first bulk edit!
