What Does Bulk Edit Do?
Bulk edit allows you to select multiple records from a list and update one or more fields in a single action. Instead of editing records one by one, you apply the same changes to all selected items at once. This helps maintain consistency and reduces the risk of manual errors.
Note: For security reasons, bulk edit is only available to Admin users.
Why Or When Should You Use Bulk Edit?
You should use bulk edit when the same update needs to be applied to many records. Common examples include assigning a new account manager to multiple opportunities or enabling mailing opt-out for several customers. Bulk edit is especially helpful when working with large lists or filtered views.
Step By Step Instructions
Navigate to the list view that contains the records you want to update, such as All Customers or a filtered list.
Select the records by ticking the checkboxes next to each item, or tick the checkbox at the top to select up to 50 records at once.
Click Bulk Change at the bottom of the screen to open the bulk edit options.
Click Add A Bulk Action to open the field selector.
Select the field you want to update, such as Account Manager, and choose the new value.
Click Add A Bulk Action again if you want to update another field. (Optional)
Review all selected actions to confirm they apply to the correct records.
Click Save in the bottom right corner.
Confirm the warning message by ticking the checkbox and clicking Save again.
Did you know?
You can add multiple bulk actions at once, and all selected changes will be applied to every chosen record.
Tips Or Best Practices
Use filters or saved views to narrow down records before starting a bulk edit. Always review the selected fields and values carefully before saving, as changes apply immediately to all selected records. If you are unsure, start with a smaller selection to confirm the result.
Quick Summary
Bulk edit allows you to update multiple records at the same time using a single action. You can apply one or more field changes across selected records from any list view. This feature helps save time while keeping your Tribe data accurate and consistent.
