What has changed?
Microsoft has updated their security permissions and therefor when archiving emails in Tribe, additional permissions are required.
How to set up the additional permissions?
The additional permissions can easily be set up. A Regular user can request the permissions and an Admin user is able to grant them. Below you can find what to do as a Regular user and as an Admin user.
Admin user in Microsoft Entra:
When trying to archive an email, with attachments, using the Tribe Outlook Add-In, you will be prompted to request permission. The following message will pop up:
Click “Accept” in the bottom right corner to accept the permissions.
Optionally you can tick the box next to “Consent on behalf of your organization” to immediately grant the permissions for your entire organization.
Consent properties can also be changed in Microsoft Entra to specify if every user needs to request the permissions, or if they are granted for all users automatically.
Grant permissions per user on the “Permissions”-tab on Microsoft Entra as shown below.
Regular user in Microsoft Entra:
When archiving an email using the Tribe Outlook Add-In, you will be prompted to request permission. A similar message as for a Microsoft Entra Admin user will pop up. Make sure to request the permission.
Your administrator will be able to see your request in Microsoft Entra and will be able to grant you access.
