What Does This Feature Do?

The remember display feature stores certain personal actions while you use Tribe. This includes things like your last selected view, your scroll position in a list, and applied filters or sorting.

These preferences are saved temporarily in your browser. This allows Tribe to restore your last-used settings when you return to the same area.

Note: These settings are stored locally in your browser. If you use Tribe on multiple devices, each device will have its own saved preferences.

Why Or When Should You Use It?

You might rely on this feature when you regularly switch between records, dashboards, or lists. It helps you avoid repeating the same steps, such as reselecting views or reapplying filters.

This is especially useful when working with large lists or complex dashboards, where consistency saves time.

How Remember Display Works In Views

When working with views, Tribe remembers the last view you selected. This view is automatically selected the next time you return.

This behaviour also applies to related views within relationships and activities.

How Remember Display Works In Lists

When working in a list view, Tribe remembers:

  • Your search query

  • Your column sorting

  • Your scroll position

These settings remain active when you navigate using your browser’s arrow keys.

Note: If you leave the list by clicking on another section, such as a dashboard, these settings are cleared.

How Remember Display Works In Widgets

Widgets can contain filters and segments defined by an administrator. When you open a list view from a widget, these filters remain visible through the Filter button.

If a widget contains multiple segments, opening a list view from a segment also applies the segment filter.

When you open a list view from a widget, the default list view is shown. You can select a different predefined list view. In that case, both the widget filter and the view filter are applied together. This combined filtering is clearly shown in the description.

You can remove the filter by selecting the Filter button. This shows all data from the entity.

If a widget does not contain a filter, this is also shown clearly in the list view.

How Remember Display Works In The Agenda Or Planner

In a planning widget, Tribe saves selections such as:

  • Team

  • Skill

  • Role

  • Period

These settings remain available the next time you use the widget.

Navigation using your browser’s arrow keys and date selections made through the calendar button are also remembered.

Note: If you leave the view by clicking another section, such as a dashboard, these settings are cleared.

How Remember Display Works In Projects

Within projects, Tribe saves the last selected tab. When you open another project, the same tab is opened automatically.

This helps maintain continuity when reviewing similar project information.

How Remember Display Works In Time Registration

In time registration, Tribe remembers the last chosen setting of the Billable slider.

This setting is automatically applied to the next time entries you create.

Where Is This Feature Displayed?

This feature applies across several areas in Tribe, including views, lists, widgets, the agenda, projects, and time registration.

It works in the background and adapts to your personal usage without requiring manual setup.

Quick Summary

The remember display feature saves your personal display choices while working in Tribe. It helps you return to the same views, filters, and positions without repeating steps. This creates a smoother and more consistent working experience across different areas of the system.
