What Does The Chamber Of Commerce Advanced Module Do?
The Chamber of Commerce advanced module keeps organisation data in Tribe CRM aligned with the latest available Chamber of Commerce records. Companies change regularly: new businesses are registered, others move, merge, or stop trading. This module updates those changes in Tribe, helping you maintain accurate records without manual checks.
The advanced module only works when the Chamber of Commerce basic module is also active. Not every organisation in Tribe is automatically updated. An organisation must be registered for updates. This happens in two ways:
When an organisation is created by searching directly in the Chamber of Commerce, it is automatically registered for updates.
When organisations are added through a Chamber of Commerce import, they are automatically registered.
Organisations created manually, without using the Chamber of Commerce search or import, are not registered for updates.
Why Or When Should You Use It?
You should use the Chamber of Commerce advanced module when you rely on up-to-date business information. It is especially helpful if you work with a large number of organisations and need their details to stay accurate. This module reduces manual checks and helps prevent outdated records.
How Does The Import Of Chamber Of Commerce Files Work?
Imports use a profile to determine which organisations are relevant to your business. A profile filters organisations based on specific criteria. This ensures only relevant companies are added to Tribe.
Profiles are usually built using:
Postcode ranges – Used to select organisations in specific geographical areas.
SBI codes – Used to include or exclude organisations based on industry classification.
For example, if you want organisations in Den Bosch that operate in sports-related activities, your profile might include:
Postcodes between 5200 and 5500
SBI codes 4500 and 4501
When new organisations in the Chamber of Commerce meet your profile criteria, they appear on the Chamber of Commerce import page and are ready for processing.
If you want to request an import, contact our sales team. We need the following information:
Confirmation that both the basic and advanced Chamber of Commerce modules are active
The Tribe environment where the import should take place
The organisation type to use (for example, customer or prospect)
The profile details, such as postcode ranges and SBI codes
Once this information is confirmed, we create a test selection. When the numbers are correct, the import is prepared and made available on the import page.
Note: An import selection should contain a reasonable number of organisations. In practice, this is between 1,000 and 20,000 records. Larger selections can reduce data quality, so filters may be adjusted to narrow the scope.
How Are Updates Processed?
You can review all updates on the Chamber of Commerce import page.
To open this page:
Open Configuration.
Select Chamber Of Commerce.
The following types of updates are shown:
Updates – Changes to existing organisations, such as address or name updates. You can review and accept these changes.
Removed – Organisations that are no longer active, bankrupt, or dissolved. When accepted, these are marked as former in Tribe.
New – New organisations that match your profile. These can be added to Tribe.
