Background And Context

On a job order, the Products tab is available in the same way as on opportunities, quotes, and invoices. This tab allows products to be added and automatically calculates the total amount. While this is useful for administrative and financial processes, it is not always appropriate to show this information to the person carrying out the work.

Why Or When Should You Use This Setting?

You may want to hide amount fields when technicians or engineers only need task and product information, not pricing. This helps avoid confusion, reduces distractions, and ensures sensitive pricing data is not shown unnecessarily.

How To Hide Amount Fields On A Job Order

  1. Navigate to Configuration.

  2. Select Job Orders.

  3. Enable the toggle Hide Prices On Job Order.

Once this setting is active, all amount and pricing fields on the job order are hidden.

Note: This setting hides amount fields within the job order itself, but it does not automatically change what is shown on printed or generated documents.

Hiding Amount Fields On The Job Order Template
