Tribe allows you to search for a contact person using a phone number, which is particularly useful when a call comes in from an unfamiliar number. The system searches across multiple phone number fields simultaneously to find the right record. This guide explains how to set up a dashboard view so you can quickly locate a contact person by phone number.
Finding a Contact by Phone Number
Click the + New Dashboard button on the left side panel.
Enter a name for the new dashboard.
Select Contact Person as the entity type.
Type the phone number into the search bar to locate the relevant contact person.
Note! For a phone number search to work, the relevant phone number column must exist in the dashboard view. If you are working with multiple phone numbers and want to search across all of them, each of those columns must be added to the view.
Quick Summary
Tribe searches across several phone number fields simultaneously when you use the search bar in a dashboard. To search by phone number, the relevant column must be present in your dashboard view. If a search returns no results, check that the correct phone number field has been added to the view.
