Tribe now offers a native Zapier connector, allowing you to link your Tribe account to thousands of other apps without any development work. Instead of relying on custom API integrations or your IT team, you can build your own automations directly in Zapier's no-code interface. This is useful if you want records in Tribe to stay in sync with tools such as your marketing platform, document storage, or forms software. By following this guide, you will learn how to connect Tribe to Zapier and start building your first automation.

What Does The Zapier Connector Do?
The Zapier connector links your Tribe account to over 6,000 apps supported by Zapier. It gives you three building blocks to create your own automations, known as Zaps:
Triggers: react to a record being created or updated in Tribe, then send that information to another app.
Actions: create or update a record in Tribe based on activity in another app.
Searches: look up an existing Tribe record before an action runs, so you can check whether it already exists rather than creating a duplicate.
All main Tribe entities, such as leads, organisations, persons, contacts, activities, and invoices, are available in the connector, along with their fields. Certain related fields, for example a lead's phone number stored against the linked person record, are automatically included and can be used as both search and output fields.
Prerequisites
To use the connector, you need:
A Tribe account with API access.
A Zapier account.
How Do I Connect Tribe to Zapier?
In Zapier, search for and select Tribe CRM.
Note: Tribe CRM is currently in early access on Zapier. Before you can connect, you need to accept the invitation: https://zapier.com/developer/public-invite/242801/cb8e11696129e1ea231e75204f169a1f/
Choose Connect to start a new connection.
Sign in with your Tribe credentials when prompted. This uses OAuth2, so you are authenticating directly with Tribe rather than sharing your password with Zapier.
Once signed in, your connection will appear in Zapier labelled Tribe CRM.
Note: Your Tribe environment is set at the point you sign in, and it applies only to the Zap step you are configuring. It is not set once for the whole connection. See the Tips or Best Practices section below for what this means in practice.
How Do I Set Up a Trigger, Search, or Action?
Create a new Zap, or open an existing one.
Add a step and select Tribe CRM as the app.
Choose whether the step is a Trigger, an Action, or a Search, for example Record Changed, Create/Update Record, or Find Record.
Select the Entity Type you want to work with, such as Lead or Organisation.
Select your Tribe environment for this step.
Configure the relevant fields for the step. Available fields are drawn from the entity itself, along with any related fields Tribe exposes automatically.
Test the step, then click Save to add it to your Zap.
Repeat these steps for each additional Trigger, Action, or Search you want to add to your Zap.
Troubleshooting
Select your environment on every Zap step. Tribe's environment cannot be chosen once at connection level. You must select it separately on each Trigger, Action, or Search step you configure, using the dropdown that appears on the Configure page for that step.
I changed my environment in Tribe, why hasn't my Zap updated? Changing your environment inside Tribe itself does not change the environment already set on an existing Zap step.
My Zap is timing out. Zapier allows up to 30 seconds for a trigger to respond. If your Tribe environment has a large number of entity types, a step may occasionally take longer to load metadata. If this happens, try again manually — the timeout does not indicate a permanent issue with your connection.
I can't find the field I need. Only certain related fields are made available automatically. If a field you need is not listed, it may not currently be included in the supported set of related fields.
The environment dropdown is empty when I first connect. This is expected. The environment list can only be populated once you are signed in, so it will not appear until after you complete the OAuth login on the connection itself.
Quick Summary
You can now connect your Tribe account to Zapier and build your own automations without writing any code. Use Triggers to send Tribe record changes to other apps, Actions to create or update Tribe records from other apps, and Searches to look up existing records before acting on them. Remember to select your Tribe environment separately on each Zap step, as this setting does not carry over from the connection itself.
