The form builder lets you create a lead capture form for your website in minutes, with default fields, automations, and design already set up for you. There is no configuration or professional services help needed to get started. This is useful whenever you want to start capturing leads from your website without waiting on a consultant or building automations from scratch. By following this guide, you will learn how to create, customise, and publish a web form, and where to find your submissions in Tribe CRM.

Quick Summary
What Is The Form Builder?
The form builder is a guided, step-by-step flow to create web forms. Instead of building everything from scratch, you pick a template, and Tribe CRM pre-loads the fields, automation, and design that match your setup.
Note: The builder is currently in beta. You'll see a "New form builder experience — Beta" banner at the top of the screen while it's rolling out. You can share feedback directly from this banner at any time.
How Do I Create A New Form?
Go to Web Forms
Click + New form
Select the Capture new leads template
Give your form a name
Choose your lead type configuration. If you only have one lead type active (Lead Activity, Lead Organisation, or Private Lead), it is selected automatically. If you have several, pick the one you want.
Your form is created with default fields already in place.
Note: If no lead type is active in your configuration, you'll see a warning asking you to activate at least one before you can continue.
How Do I Manage The Fields On My Form?
Every form starts with a small set of default fields, mapped automatically to the correct CRM record.
Editing A Field's Question Label
Open the Fields step and select Edit Fields.
Click the field you want to change.
Edit the label shown to visitors. This does not change the underlying CRM field name.
Click Reset To Default at any time to undo your change.
Adding Extra Fields
Open the Fields step.
Click + Add Field.
Drag the field you need from the picker onto your form.
Repeat for each additional field you want to capture.
Setting Default Field Values
Open the Fields step and select Set The Default Values For The Fields.
Click + Add Field.
Set the default values for the fields.
Reordering Or Removing Fields
Drag any field up or down to change its position, or click the remove icon on a field to take it off the form.
Some fields are mandatory and locked, so you cannot remove them. If you remove a field that is mandatory in the CRM but not one of the default fields, it does not disappear. Instead, it moves to the Default Value section, where you set a fixed value that is applied automatically to every submission instead of asking the visitor for it.
How Do I Customise The Design Of My Form?
Open the Design tab.
Upload your logo and favicon (JPG or PNG). The Efficy logo is shown by default until you do.
Choose your font family and font colour.
Set your page background and form background.
Set the submit button background and text colour.
Your changes appear immediately in the live preview. Design settings apply to both the form page and the confirmation page at the same time. The layout itself is fixed and can't be rearranged.
Editing The Form And Confirmation Page Text
Still in the Design tab, add a title and intro text (up to 200 characters) for the form page.
Switch to the confirmation page view to add a title and thank-you message (up to 200 characters).
Edit the submit button label if you do not want to keep "Submit".
All of this is optional. You can publish without filling it in.
How Do I Set Up Automations?
Every submission automatically creates the right CRM record for your configuration and attaches a note with the full submission details. You can optionally turn on further automations from the Automations tab.
Creating An Opportunity On Submission
Available for Lead Organisation and Private Lead configurations only.
Toggle on Create Opportunity.
Set the mandatory fields default values.
Add fields to set default fields values.
Configuring The Follow-Up Task
Toggle on Follow-Up Task.
Set who it is appointed to. This defaults to "Record Owner," or you can pick a specific employee.
Set the due date offset, for example creation date plus two days.
Set the mandatory fields default values.
Add fields to set default fields values.
Turning On An In-App Notification
Toggle on Notify On Submission.
Choose who to notify: the account manager of the created record, or a specific employee.
Note: These automations still fire even when a submission is created without every mandatory CRM field filled in.
How Do I Add GDPR Consent And Spam Protection?
In the Design tab, activate the Terms And Conditions checkbox if you need to collect explicit consent from visitors.
Set the wording for the checkbox as required for your organisation.
Did you know? CAPTCHA is added to every published form automatically. There is nothing to configure, and it stays invisible while you are building the form. It only appears to visitors on the live page.
How Do I Publish And Share My Form?
Click Activate on your form.
Copy the direct link, or copy the iframe embed code to add the form to your website.
Paste the link or code into your website.
The link and embed code are only available once the form is activated. After a visitor submits the form, the confirmation page replaces the form in place; there is no redirect.
How Do I View My Form Submissions?
Go to Web Forms.
Click the submissions count next to your form, or add the submissions widget to your dashboard.
Click any row to see the full submission detail, including every field answer.
Note: There is no deduplication yet, so repeat submissions from the same visitor create separate records.
What Happens To My Existing Web Forms?
Forms you built with the previous form builder still appear in your Web Forms list, labelled as Blank Form. Clicking one of these still opens the classic form builder interface, so nothing about your existing forms changes.
Quick Summary
The form builder lets you create a lead capture web form using the Capture New Leads template, with default fields, design, and automations already set up for your configuration. You can customise the fields, design, and automations, add GDPR consent, and publish your form as a direct link or embed code, with CAPTCHA applied automatically. Existing forms remain available as Blank Form and continue to use the classic builder.
