Overview
Get the dashboard you want by describing it. Tell Ask AI what you'd like to see and it builds a live widget from your CRM data — no configuration menus, no drag-and-drop builders. Not quite right? Ask for a change and Ask AI reshapes it. You ask, it builds, you decide where it goes.
It's ideal for sales managers who want quick pipeline views, account managers tracking activity across their portfolio, or anyone who wants a custom dashboard without the setup time.
✅ Available on all plans — if you can create widgets in TribeCRM, you can create them with Ask AI. New to Ask AI? Start with Personal Assistant - Ask AI.
To Get the Best Results from Widget Creation
Say what and how. Name the record type and how to group it. "Open pipeline value per account manager" works better than "show me deals".
Add filters in plain language. Phrases like "open deals", "last 12 months" or "tasks past their due date" are understood.
Keep your data clean. Widgets show live data, so fields like Phase, Lead source and Owner work best when they're filled in consistently.
Ask for one grouping plus one split. A bar chart can group by one field and split by one more, for example lost deals by source, split by manager.
Not sure where to start? Ask "Suggest 5 widgets for my weekly pipeline review and build the first".
How It Works
Step 1. Ask for a widget
Open Ask AI and describe the widget you'd like. For example:
"Make me a widget of opportunities per sales stage"
"Opportunities by lead source"
"Opportunities created per month"
"Open deals with name, account, amount and manager, sorted by amount"
"Average won deal size per account manager"
"Open tasks past their due date, per assignee"
Behind the Scenes
Understands your request and picks the right records — deals, organisations, persons, tasks and so on.
Applies your filters — for example, reading "open" deals as deals that are still in progress.
Picks the best format. A pipeline by stage becomes a funnel; a count over time becomes a line trend; a list of records becomes a records widget.
Builds a preview from your live CRM data.
Step 2. Preview the widget
Ask AI shows the widget as an interactive preview in the chat, using your real data and a legend with counts per category. Then choose:
Add widget — keep it and choose where it goes
No thanks — discard it and ask for something else
Clicking Add widget saves the widget as private to you. You can share it later through the standard workspace sharing options.
Step 3. Place it on a workspace
After you click Add widget, pick a workspace — your Sales workspace, for example — and click Add here. Ask AI suggests your current workspace by default. The widget is now live and updates automatically as your data changes.
Step 4. Change a widget by asking
Want a different chart type, measure, filter or grouping? Tell Ask AI what to change. For example:
"Make that a bar chart, sum the amount, and show won deals only"
"Only deals above 50,000, group by phase and split by manager"
Ask AI shows a before and after card so you can compare. Click Save change to apply it, or ignore the card to leave your widget as it is. You can also rename a widget in the same request.
Edit cards expire after a few minutes. If yours has expired, just ask again.
Why This Matters
Seconds, not setup. Skip the configuration screens, chart types and field mapping — one sentence gets you a working widget.
Dashboards that stay relevant. When it's this easy to add or adjust a view, your dashboards keep up with what you actually need to see.
You stay in control. Every new widget and every change is previewed first, and nothing is saved until you accept it.
FAQ
What can Ask AI build widgets on?
Ask AI can build pies, funnels, tile grids, line trends, bar charts (including stacked) and records lists. It can count, sum, average or find the maximum of a field, and it works on records such as opportunities, organisations, persons, tasks and support tickets. Not sure what's available? Ask "Which record types can I build widgets on?". If a field you asked for doesn't exist, Ask AI uses the closest one and tells you. You can write in your own language and Ask AI replies in the same one.
How do I move, resize or remove a widget?
Do it directly on your workspace, as usual. Ask AI can change what a widget shows, but not where it sits or whether it exists.
I asked for a change, but my dashboard looks the same. Why?
Changes only apply after you click Save change on the edit card, and the card expires after a few minutes. Check your dashboard to confirm the widget changed. If it didn't, ask for the change again.
Why can't Ask AI create a widget for me?
Ask AI follows your plan and user rights. If you can't create widgets in TribeCRM, Ask AI can't either.
Is there a limit to how many widgets I can create?
Ask AI doesn't set one. Your workspace setup and plan decide how many widgets you can place.
