Overview
Tribe AI Chatbot (Tribe AI) can now build dashboard widgets for you — just describe what you want to see, and it creates a live visualisation from your CRM data. No configuration menus, no drag-and-drop builders. You ask, it builds, and you decide where it goes.
This is ideal for sales managers who want quick pipeline views, account managers tracking activity across their portfolio, or anyone who wants a custom dashboard without the setup time.

To Get the Best Results from Widget Creation
Be specific about what you want to see. Include the entity type and how you want it grouped — for example, "deals per sales stage" rather than just "show me deals".
Keep your CRM data clean. Widgets pull from live data, so the quality of what you see reflects the quality of what's in your CRM. Fields like Phase, Status, and Owner work best when they're consistently filled in.
Think about your workspaces. Widgets can be placed on any workspace, so consider where you'd want to see the data day-to-day — your Sales workspace, a personal dashboard, or a team overview.
Use follow-ups to refine. If the first widget isn't quite right, you can ask Tribe AI to adjust it — change the grouping, switch the visualization type, or filter the data differently.
How It Works
Step 1. Ask for a widget
Open the Tribe AI chat and describe the widget you'd like. Use plain language — for example:
"Make me a widget of opportunities per sales stage"
"Show me a chart of open activities by owner"
"Create a widget with new leads per month"
Behind the Scenes
Tribe AI interprets your request and identifies the relevant CRM entity (deals, contacts, activities, etc.).
It determines the best grouping — for example, grouping deals by their Phase field when you ask for "sales stage."
It selects the most suitable visualization type for your data. A pipeline broken down by stage becomes a funnel; a count over time becomes a bar chart.
It queries your live CRM data and builds the widget preview.
Step 2. Preview the widget
Tribe AI presents the widget as an interactive preview card directly in the chat. You'll see the visualization with your real data, including a legend with counts per category.
At the bottom of the preview, you have two options:
Add widget — keeps the widget and moves to placement
No thanks — discards it (you can always ask for a different one)
The widget is private to you by default. You'll see a note: "Only you can see it. You can share it later."
Step 3. Place it on a workspace
Once you click Add widget, a confirmation appears with a workspace selector. Choose which workspace you'd like to place the widget on — for example, your Sales workspace — and click Add here.
The widget is now live on that workspace, updating automatically as your CRM data changes.
Why This Matters
Building dashboard widgets normally means navigating configuration screens, picking chart types, mapping fields, and tweaking filters. That's fine when you have time — but when you just need a quick view of your pipeline or a snapshot of activity, it's a lot of overhead for a simple question.
With widget creation in Tribe AI, you describe what you want in a sentence and get a working visualization in seconds. It lowers the bar for keeping your dashboards relevant and up to date, so you spend more time acting on your data and less time configuring how to see it.
Frequently Asked Questions
What kinds of widgets can Tribe AI create?
Tribe AI can create several visualisation types including funnels, tiles, bar charts, and grouped totals. It automatically picks the best format based on your request — for example, a pipeline by phase becomes a funnel, while a count by owner becomes a tile view.
Can I edit a widget after it's been placed?
Widget editing is managed through TribeCRM's existing workspace and widget settings. Once placed, you can move, resize, or remove widgets from your workspace as usual.
Are widgets visible to other users?
Widgets created through Tribe AI are private to you by default. You can choose to share them later through the standard workspace sharing options.
What if Tribe AI picks the wrong chart type?
You can ask Tribe AI to adjust it — for example, "Can you make that a bar chart instead?" or "Group it by owner instead of phase." Tribe AI will generate a new preview for you to accept or decline.
Is there a limit to how many widgets I can create?
There's no specific limit imposed by Tribe AI. The number of widgets you can place depends on your workspace configuration and plan limits.
