Release notes week 41 (5 October - 9 October)

🤖 Ask AI in the app

The in-app assistant got a noticeable step up this week. You can now ask it to build a dashboard widget for you, open it straight from a link on a fresh conversation, and it understands which record type you are looking at on a dashboard instead of guessing. Support-style questions can now be handed over to a human in Intercom, with the outcome tracked, and the assistant's duplicate scan is more targeted so it suggests the right record to keep.

📅 Calendar sync you can control

Outlook and Google calendar sync no longer has to be all-or-nothing: you can scope which calendar items are synced. Synced appointments are automatically matched to existing contacts by e-mail address, so your timeline stays complete without manual linking. Tasks you send to your calendar can be marked busy or free, so your availability stays accurate for colleagues.

🔔 Reminders on your notifications

Notifications can now carry a reminder, so something that needs follow-up comes back to you instead of disappearing down the list. Existing notification categories and activation types were migrated over, so your current setup keeps working without any action from you.

📱 Timeline polish

Based on your feedback after the new timeline release, the gray header line is now clickable, which makes expanding and collapsing a lot quicker. The favourites section stays hidden until there is actually something pinned in it, so the timeline starts clean. Smaller fixes to attachment cards are covered in the bug list below.

🔗 Exact Online on the new connection

We continued moving customers from the first-generation Exact Online connection to the new one, including payment conditions. The new experience is now the default path, and the remaining migration steps are being rolled out per customer. Several Exact and Yuki sync defects were fixed along the way — see the bug list.

🔍 Faster search, cleaner field lists

Global search got a performance fix on its follow-up query, so results appear noticeably quicker on large data sets. Search indexes can now also be built on date and timestamp columns, which makes searching on dated information work as expected. The field picker hides deprecated fields, so you only see what you should actually be using when configuring views, filters and templates.

✅ More improvements

  • Captcha on web forms — forms built with the new form creator can be protected against spam submissions.

  • Perfectview migration — a dedicated tool makes moving data from Perfectview into Tribe considerably simpler for new customers.

  • Merging duplicates in bulk — a new view lets you merge several duplicate records in one pass instead of one at a time.

  • Newer assistant clients supported — external tools connecting to Tribe on the latest assistant protocol version are accepted again instead of being rejected.

🐛 Bugs Fixed

  • Quota usage is counted correctly again: usage was never registered, a false "quota exceeded" warning was logged for every quota type, refunds overwrote the row with outdated figures and the maximum check was off by one.

  • Exports and API reads return complete and precise data again — contact exports no longer lose label columns beyond the first thousand rows, and creation timestamps are no longer rounded, so filtering on a timestamp no longer skips the record it came from.

  • A query error about a "contains" comparison on non-text values that broke portals, views and automations has been resolved.

  • The user and access page no longer hides licensed users when a page of results comes back short.

  • Pictures in e-mails sent from a trial account now display properly instead of showing the word "false".

  • Updating modules and add-ons no longer uninstalls your connector packs.

  • Duplicating a campaign keeps its account link, contact link and e-mailing category, and creating a campaign no longer overwrites an existing account link with the current user's employee record.

  • Subscriptions are reliable again: one starting with a one-off product line no longer ends up without an interval (and therefore never invoiced), and totals no longer come back as "NaN" when an optional repeat interval is left empty.

  • Lists and reporting add up correctly: access rights no longer duplicate rows (which inflated sums and averages and made list pages drop records), average columns refresh instead of showing a stale value, a pipeline column now matches its own header total, four-weekly chart buckets carry the right period label and paging on long lists stays in step.

  • Custom attachment cards show their own layout in the redesigned timeline again, including the missing "Visible in support portal" toggle in the normal view.

  • New products created directly from a product line are saved instead of silently lost.

  • Configuration screens behave as expected: the "Image" and "Search for duplicates when adding" toggles keep your change, two record types sharing the same code no longer collapse into one with mixed fields, computed-field previews stop repeating each relationship step, an unset colour or icon is no longer reported as set, and a raw translation code is replaced by readable text.

  • Integration fixes: Exact Online no longer sends an empty product identifier on product updates and stops producing failed initial synchronisation errors between activation and sign-in, a feature-flag issue on the Exact connection was resolved, Yuki discount lines are rounded correctly, and ValidSign notifications follow the environment language.

  • A batch of stability fixes removed several recurring frontend and backend crashes — the error screen after a live update, PDF previews and offer signing on older browsers, a crash when restoring scroll position, failures when saving records linked to not-yet-loaded data, and a password-reset endpoint error — along with memory leaks, unhandled background errors and a database deadlock that left subscription invoices stuck in Concept after their e-mail had already gone out.
