How Do I Find My Way Around the New Configuration Menu?

We’re reorganising the Tribe configuration menu so you find the setting you need without searching through tabs. Settings are now grouped by function, and everything related to your data sits in one place. Nothing changes in how a setting works, only where you find it. This guide shows where your settings have moved and explains how the new menu is organised.

Why Is the Configuration Menu Changing?

Many admins told us that finding a setting in Tribe took too much memory work. The configuration area was a long list of tabs with no clear grouping, and some tab names matched entity names. Related pages did not link to each other, and document templates were spread across four places. Your data was also split across Relations, Activities and Custom entities, using words that did not always match your business. With the new configuration, we want you to find and change settings yourself, without asking for help.

What Is Changing, and What Is Not?

We’ve changed the navigation, the labels and the links between pages. The pages themselves move as they are, so every setting works the way it did before.

Note: Your existing data and settings are not affected. Old bookmarks and links may no longer lead to the page you expect, so update them with the new locations below.

How Is the New Menu Organised?

The new menu follows four principles.

  1. Settings are grouped by function. Instead of one long list of tabs, the menu groups pages into the sections Data, Tools, Modules and Admin.

  2. All your data sits under Entities. The Entities section groups people, organisations, activities, custom entities and your other entities in one place. Before, you found them in separate tabs: Relations for people and organisations, Activities for activities, and Custom entities for your own entities.

  3. Each module has its own page. Module settings now sit in the Modules section, for example Sales, Invoicing and Campaigns.

  4. Every module settings page has the same format. Each page shows the same three parts: Entities, Settings and Templates.

Related pages also link to each other now, so you can move from one setting to a connected one without going back to the menu.

Note: The Modules section shows only the modules you have activated. If a module is missing, check Modules and add-ons.
