What Does Emailing With A Company Domain Do?
Emailing with a company domain allows Tribe to send emails on behalf of your organisation using your own domain name. Instead of emails being sent from a Tribe demo address, recipients see your company email address as the sender. This improves trust, recognizability, and email delivery.
Why Or When Should You Use It?
You should set up emailing with a company domain when you move from a demo account to a paid Tribe account. During testing, emails are sent from a Tribe address and are limited in number. Once you start using Tribe in daily work, validating your domain allows you to send emails professionally and without these restrictions.
Step By Step Instructions
Open Configuration from the main menu.
Select Domain Validations.
Enter your organisation’s domain name in the Domain field.
Use only the part after the @ symbol (for example, enter mydomain.com, not [email protected]).
Enter a general organisation email address in the Email Address field, such as [email protected] or [email protected].
Click Send Validation Link.
Open the validation email in the inbox of the address you entered.
Click the validation link in the email.
Select the blue Confirm button in your browser to complete the validation.
After confirmation, Tribe automatically completes the internal validation steps.
Review the displayed SPF and DKIM records.
Copy these records and send them to your IT administrator to add to your organisation’s DNS settings.
Once the DNS changes are completed, the records will turn green in Tribe.
Note: DNS changes can take up to 24 hours to become visible and fully validated.
Tips Or Best Practices
Involve your IT administrator early, as DNS access is required.
Use a shared company email address rather than a personal one for validation.
Ensure the domain entered matches exactly the domain used in your email addresses.
Troubleshooting
If the records do not turn green after 24 hours, check that the SPF and DKIM records were copied correctly into the DNS. If issues persist, ask your IT administrator to confirm that the records were created as text records and saved correctly.
Did you know?
SPF and DKIM records help prevent emails from being marked as spam by verifying that Tribe is allowed to send emails on behalf of your domain.
Quick Summary
Emailing with a company domain allows Tribe to send emails using your organisation’s own email address. The process involves validating your domain and adding SPF and DKIM records to your DNS. Once completed, your emails are sent from Tribe in the name of your organisation with improved reliability and recognition.
