Google maps integration
Updated over 2 months ago

The Tribe CRM link with Google maps gives you instant insight into the location of your customers. The location is shown in a map both with the relations and activities based on the addresses entered with the relation. In addition, you can see all the locations of the selected relations through the map view, e.g. for determining your planning for sales visits.

1 What functionalities does the link offer?

The Google maps link enables Tribe to display Google maps with address locations in the relation map. The map view shows all locations of the different addresses entered for a relation. Even within the activity, the map view is displayed based on the relation's address.

Google maps integration in Tribe CRM

In addition to the map view at a relation, the link offers the Maps view. The maps view shows all selected locations in a map. Read the article Google Maps view for more information.

2 How does the link work?

When creating or changing an address at a relation, a geocode request is automatically sent to Google. The coordinates are then stored in the address entity and the map view is built based on these coordinates.

For a geocode request, the street and city are mandatory. If an address is incomplete, Google will return an approximate location. When Google returns an address as invalid, the coordinates are deleted in Tribe.

Zip code book
When retrieving addresses from the zip code book, the coordinates in the address are also automatically stored in Tribe. The map view is then built based on these coordinates.

Chamber of Commerce

No coordinates are provided in the Chamber of Commerce data when retrieving addresses. The coordinates are then retrieved in the same way as a standard geocode request.
