What Does The Google Maps Integration Do?

The Google Maps integration allows Tribe CRM to display maps based on the addresses stored in your relations. A map is shown within relations and related activities, using the available address information. This gives you direct visual insight into customer locations.

In addition to individual relation maps, Tribe also offers a Maps View. This view displays multiple selected relations on a single map, helping you see all locations at once.

Why Or When Should You Use It?

You should use this integration when location matters in your daily work. It is useful for planning sales visits, reviewing customer distribution, or quickly checking where activities are taking place. The map view supports better planning and a clearer overview of your relations.

How Does The Google Maps Integration Work?

When you create or update an address for a relation, Tribe automatically sends a geocode request to Google. Google returns coordinates, which are stored with the address. The map is then built using these coordinates.

For geocoding to work correctly, both Street and City must be entered. If an address is incomplete, Google may return an approximate location. If Google identifies an address as invalid, the coordinates are removed from Tribe.

Addresses retrieved from the Postcode Lookup are automatically stored with coordinates. The map view is created directly from this data.

When addresses are retrieved from the Chamber of Commerce, coordinates are not included. In this case, Tribe retrieves the coordinates using the same geocoding process.
