The link with Microsoft Power BI allows you to use data from Tribe to visualise and share your analyses within your organisation. To use the link, API knowledge is required.
1. Settings in Power BI
Follow the steps below to set up the link with Power BI.
Navigate to the Marketplace in Tribe.
Click on the External data tab.
Open the Power BI link and download the mez file. You will need this file in step 6.
Install Microsoft Power BI Desktop.
Add the folders below to the Documents folder in your personal One Drive. Power BI Desktop containing the Custom Connectors folder. Note, exact description is required. This yields the following path: C:\Users\MyName\OneDrive\Documenten\Power BI Desktop\Custom Connectors
Add the mez file to the Custom Connectors folder.
Close Power BI and restart the program.
Navigate to File > Options and settings > Options > Security.
Under data extensions , tick 'Allow extension to be loaded without validation or warning' and save.
Navigate to Start > Data retrieval > More.
Navigate to Other > Tribe CRM or search for Tribe CRM in All. Click Connect.
Enter the ApiEndpoint from Tribe. For example https://api.tribecrm.nl/v1/odata/Activity_SalesOpportunity.
After saving, you will be asked to log into Tribe CRM and connect. Enter your login details.
The Query editor will now start automatically.
