Updated over 2 months ago

A frequently asked question is, what are the possibilities of linking a VoIP system with Tribe CRM? Given the diversity of VoIP systems/solutions, we chose to use an application from Red Cactus for this purpose. This application provides a link between the VoIP solution and Tribe CRM.

  1. Who is Red Cactus?

  2. What does the connection between Tribe CRM and Bubble VoIP involve?

  3. What are the costs of Bubble?

  4. How do I configure Bubble?

1 Who is Red Cactus?

Among other things, Red Cactus makes software for linking a telephony environment to CRM, ERP or administration packages. The software is available through a partner channel of telecom resellers, telecom providers, ICT companies and fellow software companies. For more information, check Red Cactus' website.

Coupling is possible with most VoIP telephony solutions, below an overview of the most commonly used ones.

2 What does the link between Tribe CRM and Bubble VoIP mean?

Bubble is Red Cactus' VoIP software solution. If a Tribe CRM user needs to be informed about incoming calls, the Bubble software needs to be installed on every workstation. The Bubble application is continuously active in the background, you see the application in the taskbar as a telephone horn on a red background.

In Bubble's configuration, you determine the connected telephony solution and select application Tribe CRM to retrieve the right information. When a call comes in, Bubble questions Tribe to see if a relationship can be found with the phone number in question.

The following fields are searched:

  • Private phone number or private mobile number of a person

  • Phone number of a contact person

  • Phone number of an organisation

When Bubble has found a relation, the relation's details are shown in a pop up. In the Bubble pop up, buttons can be set to initiate different actions, e.g. a button to open relation card in Tribe.

Note: it is not possible to have Bubble search other than the above phone number fields such as e.g. own phone number fields.

For your information , the Bubble software is suitable for installation on workstations running Windows 8,10,11 or macOS from High Sierra 10.13 onwards. Check the Red Cactus website for current software requirements.

3 What is the cost of Bubble?

Bubble is a paid application. The cost of using Bubble, we pass on through the Tribe CRM invoices. PerfectView remits part of this revenue to Bubble.

4 How do I configure Bubble?

The configuration of the Bubble application has a number of steps and is carried out with support from our support department.

Pre-check

As many combinations with telephone solutions are possible, it is necessary to do a check on the suitability of the environment before starting the configuration process. Questions to be answered are:

  • Which Voip telephony solution is being used ?

  • Is this a cloud solution or an onsite solution?

    • If onsite, which hardware and software will be used in the onsite configuration ?

  • Which workstations are being used?

    • Which operating software is used for the workstations ?

Registration

If it is clear that the Bubble software is suitable, registration can take place.

For registration, the following information must be known:

  • Organisation name

  • Organisation address

    • Street and house number

    • Postal code and city

    • Country

  • Users

    • First name and surname

    • E-mail address

Once the above details are known, all accounts will be created.

Installation

After registration, you will receive a download link to install the Bubble software. You can do this installation independently, or with support.

Setup

The last step in the configuration is setting up the Bubble Client Notifications. This is where a profile is created. The profile contains the way the information of an incoming call is displayed. In addition, buttons can be defined to e.g. directly open the relation in Tribe CRM. This setup is then shared with all users to create a uniform interface.

Testing

It is possible to test the operation of the link for 14 days from the time of registration. After these 14 days, the paid period of at least 1 year starts.
