In the article "What are portals?" we gave you an explanation of how to use portals within Tribe CRM. Portals can be set up based on your organisation's requirements. With a white label portal, you take an extra step to present your Tribe CRM portal as your own.

1 What does the white label portal entail?
White label means that the portal is presented as its own portal. The name Tribe CRM will not be visible to the user. This will be implemented in the following places.
the URL of the portal
the invitation to a new user
the login and password forgotten page
Portal URL
The website address of a regular portal is https://app.tribecrm.nl, the same address you use to log into your CRM environment. For a white label portal, we customise the URL as required. For example customerportaal.mijndomein.nl.
Portal invitation
With a regular portal, a new portal user receives a standard invitation. The text and layout of the invitation is not customisable. With a white label portal, however, this is possible. For example, you can personalise the invitation and add a logo for recognition.
In addition, the sender of the mail is adjusted so it looks like it was sent by your organisation.
Login & password page
With a white label portal, the login and password forgotten page is adjusted to show the organisation's logo. In addition, the colour of the buttons on these pages is adapted to your organisation's house style.
2 What do I need to activate a white label portal?
Do you want to use the white label functionality? Then activate the white label module in the account page of your Tribe CRM environment. In addition, contact your account manager. To set up the invitation and pages, a CRM coach will need to be scheduled. It is also necessary to schedule a meeting between your system administrator and Tribe for the technical set-up of the portal. Your account manager can tell you more about this process.
Please note: White label functionality can only be activated on customer-specific portals, it is not possible to activate this on standard Tribe portals. Customer-specific portals can be set up based on the Tribe CRM Creator licence.
3 How do I activate the white label portal?
Technical set-up
Before the actions below can be performed, it is necessary to know the new URL. Make sure you share it with your system administrator and with Tribe CRM in time.
To set up the white label portal correctly, some actions need to be carried out on two sides. Tribe will perform some steps first, followed by your system administrator.
In preparation to the system administrator's actions, Tribe will obtain the DNS values for the new domain within the Google Cloud Platform. The system administrator can then make the adjustments below.
DNS adjustments:
Domain control: Create a TXT or CNAME record with the values received from Tribe.
Referral: Create a CNAME on the subdomain pointing to ghs.googlehosted.com.
Add API application in Tribe CRM:
Click on Configuration and then on the left side on API under Administration.
Now click on + Application.
Give the application a name (e.g. White Label Portal), turn on option Is public and at Redirect URL fill in the chosen URL followed by /auth/callback (So e.g. https://portaal. klantnaam.nl/auth/callback) and click Save.
A Client ID will now be displayed. This must be passed to Tribe CRM.
Tribe will then complete the registration of the domain within the Google Cloud Platform. After the domain has been added, an SSL certificate will be added automatically. This will also be renewed automatically.
Functional set-up
The CRM coach will carry out the further functional set-up. An appointment will be scheduled for this. Make sure you have delivered the items below before the date of the appointment.
The full text for the portal invitation.
The full text for the forgotten password e-mail.
The sender name and email address.
The logos for the login and password forgotten page.
The favicon for the website.
The new URL for the portal.
The translations of the email texts if applicable.
