What Does The Google Maps View Do?
The Google Maps view displays your relations or activities on a map using address data stored in Tribe. Each record with a visiting or private address is shown as a pin, allowing you to see geographic distribution at a glance. When multiple records are close together, pins are grouped into clusters that expand as you zoom in.
Where Is The Google Maps View Displayed?
The Google Maps view is accessed from widgets that support location-based data. It is available in the following widget types:
Note: The Google Maps view is only available for data based on relations and activities. It is not available for custom links to addresses or for custom entities.
Step By Step Instructions
Open a dashboard containing a supported widget.
Locate the Map Icon in the header of the widget.
Click the Map Icon to open the Google Maps view.
Review the pins displayed on the map, which represent visiting or private addresses linked to the records.
Zoom in or out on the map to view clustered or individual locations.
Hover over a pin to view the relation name and address details.
Click the Relation Name to open the relation record in Tribe.
Click the Address to open the location in Google Maps in a new browser tab.
Alongside the map, a list view displays the same records currently visible on the map.

Zoom into specific regions to reduce clustering and see individual locations.
Check that visiting or private addresses are filled in to ensure pins appear on the map.
Did you know? Records without a visiting or private address are still shown in the list view, even though no pin appears on the map.

The Google Maps view also works with activity-based widgets. For example, when viewing sales opportunities, the pins represent the visiting addresses of the related organisations. In these cases, the list view shows the activity subject alongside the relation name and address.
