What Does Calendar Colouring Do?

Calendar colouring lets you assign a specific colour to each activity type shown in calendar widgets. These colours apply across the entire organisation, so everyone sees the same colours when viewing calendars. This creates a shared visual structure and reduces confusion when reviewing schedules.

Which Activities Can Have Colours?

You can assign colours to the following activity types:

  • Task

  • Appointment

  • Event

  • Work order

  • Hours registration

Each activity type can have its own colour.

Why Or When Should You Use Calendar Colours?

Calendar colours help you quickly identify the type of work scheduled without opening each activity. They are especially useful when calendars contain many different activity types. Using colours also supports consistent planning and understanding across teams.

How Do I Set Colours In The Calendar?

  1. Navigate to Configuration.

  2. Open the settings related to Calendar or Activities.

  3. Select the option to manage Colours for activity types.

  4. Choose a colour for each activity type you want to customise.

  5. Save your changes to apply the colours organisation-wide.

Once saved, the selected colours appear in all calendar widgets for all users.

Default Colours

If no custom colours are set, Tribe applies default colours automatically. Activities are shown in blue, while time-related entries are shown in green.

Note: Calendar colours only affect how activities are displayed inside Tribe.

Important Notes

Calendar colours are not synchronised with external calendars such as Outlook or Google Calendar. The colour settings apply only within Tribe and do not change external calendar views.

Quick Summary

Calendar colouring in Tribe helps you visually distinguish between different activity types. Colours are set once and applied consistently across the organisation. Using calendar colours makes schedules easier to read and supports clearer daily planning for everyone.
