Managing links between entities
Updated over 2 weeks ago

When you manage links between entities, you can define the order of the link fields in addition to the order of the fields. In addition, you can also determine how the link should be displayed in the entity, as a field in the details, as a tab to the entity, or both. This article briefly explains this functionality.

It is possible to hide the links created between entities on:

  • the creation screen

  • the details in the entity

  • as a tab in the entity

These settings depend on the link type and are available and customisable on both sides of the link. This only applies to links within custom created links. Tribe CRM's default links are not customisable.

An example of hiding a link

Previously, after creating the link between two entities, the fields of the link were automatically shown in the details.

For example, a link between the entity complaint and employee. One employee could be added to a complaint. However, an employee can handle several complaints, which resulted in a list of all linked complaints at the employee.

By hiding the link in the details at the employee, the employee map remains clear. Optionally, it is possible to show all linked complaints at the employee in a tab.

Sorting of links

Previously, it was only possible to sort the fields. Now it is also possible to sort the links so that they are shown at the right place in the entity details. For this purpose, all links have now been added to the list of fields in the configuration. Moving the links in the list here determines the order in the entity details.
