How Does Contact Synchronisation Work?
The Google contact synchronisation links people from Tribe CRM to your Google contacts. This includes contacts, employees, and individuals. Synchronisation can work both ways when specific conditions are met.
From Tribe To Google
Contacts are synchronised to Google when they are created or updated in Tribe CRM. Synchronisation only happens when:
You are the Relationship Manager of the relation, or
You are listed as an Owner of the relation
The relation is not marked as Former
Contacts are never deleted automatically in either system. Even if a person is marked as former, the contact remains in both Tribe and Google.
After the first synchronisation, a connector ID is created in the background. This ID links the Tribe relation to the Google contact and is used to manage future updates.
From Google To Tribe
Changes made in Google are synchronised back to Tribe only if the contact was originally created in Tribe. In this case, the existing connector ID ensures the update is applied correctly.
If a contact is removed from Google, the relation remains in Tribe. The connector ID is removed, but the relation may be synchronised again if changes are made in Tribe and you are still listed as relationship manager or owner.
Which Data Is Synchronised?
The integration complies with Google API Services policies for user data.
Note: If multiple email addresses or phone numbers exist in Google, only the first value is synchronised to Tribe.

How Do I Activate Contact Synchronisation?
Open the Marketplace from the top right of Tribe CRM.
Go to the Calendar & Contacts tab.
Select Google Mail / Calendar / Contacts.
Enable the Contacts option.
Click Grant Permissions and log in to Google.
Click Save to start the initial synchronisation.
The synchronisation will add all eligible Tribe relations to your Google address book.
Note: If you previously activated the link without contact synchronisation, deactivate it first and then activate it again.
Where Can I Find The Relationship Manager And Owner Fields?
Only relations where you are listed as relationship manager or owner are synchronised.
The Relationship Manager field allows one employee to be selected.
The Owner field allows multiple employees to be selected.
By default, the owner field is visible on relations. The relationship manager field can be enabled or hidden by an administrator.
To manage field visibility:
Go to Configuration.
Open Relationships.
Click the Cog Icon under person types.
Open the Fields tab.
Enable or disable the Visible slider as needed.
Quick Summary
