Overview
Tribe AI is your in-CRM sidekick — ask it anything about your pipeline, contacts, and activities in plain language and get answers grounded in your own data. With this release, Tribe AI is now linked to your Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), so it doesn't just retrieve records — it interprets them through the lens of who your best customers actually are.
It's ideal for owners, sales leads, and RevOps users who want quick, data-aware answers without building a single report.
To Get the Best Results from Tribe AI
Run your ICP analysis first. Tribe AI's sharpest insights come from your ICP, so make sure it has been generated before you start asking strategic questions.
Keep core fields filled in. Firmographic details like company size, sector, and lead source let Tribe AI reason accurately about fit and pipeline quality.
Ask in plain language. No query syntax needed — "which deals are stuck in qualification?" works just as well as a structured filter.
Say what you want to do next. Asking "give me a list so I can book demos" returns an actionable list rather than a general summary.
Follow up. Tribe AI keeps context within a session, so you can drill down ("which stage matters most?" then "give me the deals in that stage") without repeating yourself.
How It Works
Step 1. Open Tribe AI
Click Ask AI in the top navigation bar to open the Tribe AI panel. You'll see a couple of starting points — Ask about your data and Track your work — or you can simply type your own question.
Step 2. Discuss Your ICP
Ask Tribe AI to talk through your ICP and it summarises your ideal customer in a single, readable snapshot — segment, company size, sector, and buyer profile — along with which signals are strong and where its confidence is high.
Step 3. Explore Patterns and Signals
From there, Tribe AI suggests directions worth exploring — whether a specific company fits your ICP, how to improve data quality, where to expand geographically, or which pipeline stages matter most. Pick one and it digs in with reasoning tied to your actual deal history.
For example, it might surface that speed to demo or quote is the strongest win signal in your pipeline, then break down what that means stage by stage.
Step 4. Get Actionable Lists
Ask for a list — for example, deals sitting in a stage too long — and Tribe AI pulls the matching records so you can act on them straight away.
Behind the Scenes
When you ask a question, Tribe AI quietly does the groundwork before answering:
Looks up your profile to understand who's asking and what you have access to.
Loads your data structure so it knows how your phases, fields, and records are organised.
Searches your records to find the deals, contacts, or activities relevant to your question.
Searches the help centre when your question is about how to do something, so its advice matches official TribeCRM guidance.
Step 5. Close Data Quality Gaps
Ask how to improve the data quality gaps your ICP flagged, and Tribe AI returns a practical action plan — with quick wins and links to the relevant help articles.
Why This Matters
Faster answers. Insights that used to require a report or a colleague now take one question.
Sharper focus. Because Tribe AI reasons through your ICP, its answers point you toward the deals and patterns that actually predict wins.
Cleaner data. It surfaces concrete, prioritised steps to fix the gaps that weaken your pipeline view.
FAQ
Where does Tribe AI get its information?
Directly from your own CRM — your pipeline, contacts, activities, and ICP — plus the TribeCRM help centre when you ask how-to questions. It doesn't invent data.
Do I need an ICP for Tribe AI to work?
No, but it's strongly recommended. Without an ICP you can still query your data, but the strategic insights about fit, pipeline signals, and data quality come from your ICP analysis.
Can it make changes to my records?
Tribe AI focuses on answering questions and surfacing lists. Treat its suggestions — like merging test records or making fields required — as recommendations you action yourself.
Is Tribe AI still in beta?
Yes. It's part of the AI Insider Program and may occasionally make mistakes, so verify important information before acting on it.
