Why Or When Should You Use This Feature?

Tribe builds a complete customer history using activities, notes, attachments, and reports. This history helps you understand what has happened with a relation and supports accurate reporting.

Deleting data removes it permanently, including related quotes, attachments, and notes. When you delete an activity, it no longer appears in reports and the historical context is lost. For this reason, we recommend keeping completed activities and allowing them to remain visible in the Completed section of the timeline.

When a customer relationship changes, for example when a customer leaves or a contact changes job, set the relation status to Former. This keeps the history available while keeping your active data accurate.

Did you know?

You cannot delete an organisation or person when activities are still linked. To proceed, either delete the related activities or move them to another relation.

Do You Have The Rights To Delete Data?

Most users do not have permission to delete data in Tribe. Only administrators can delete relations and activities. If you need this permission, speak with your Tribe administrator.

Step By Step Instructions

Delete A Relation Or Activity

  1. Open the relation or activity.

  2. Click the Three dots in the top right.

  3. Select Delete.

  4. Click OK to confirm the message.

Delete An Activity From The Activity Overview

  1. Open the activity overview.

  2. Click the Three dots next to the activity.

  3. Select Delete.

  4. Click OK to confirm.

Additional Features Or Related Actions

You cannot delete a colleague if historical data is linked to them, such as activities where they are set as owner. In most cases, use the Former slider instead of deleting a colleague.

When a colleague leaves the organisation, follow the process described in this article.

Quick Summary

You can delete relations and activities from the record or from the activity overview when it is necessary. Only administrators have permission to remove data. By keeping completed records and using the former status, you preserve accurate history while maintaining clean data.
