Tribe Tales — Episode #04

Dear Tribe Community,

Since our last edition we've been busy in three places: opening up work that used to need our help, letting Tribe AI actually do things rather than just answer, and taking the tedium out of the jobs you repeat every week.

📬 One more thing: you'll be hearing from us every two weeks from now on.

We're shipping faster than a monthly newsletter can keep up with — and we'd rather you got the news while it's still news. So Tribe Tales moves to a two-week rhythm, one edition per sprint. Shorter reads, more often. Stay tuned: we're moving fast, and we want you moving with us.

🚀 What's New

Build your own lead capture form — drag, drop, done

Setting up a lead capture form used to mean booking a consultant and waiting weeks. Now it's a job you finish before lunch. Pick the Capture new leads template and your fields, CRM mapping and follow-up automations are already wired up for you. Publish, drop the embed code on your site, and every new lead lands straight in your CRM ready for sales to act on.

Key highlights

  • ✓ Guided builder — pick a template and your fields, mapping and automations come pre-configured

  • ✓ A note, a task and an optional opportunity are created automatically for every submission

  • ✓ Branded to your site, embedded with a snippet of code

  • ✓ No consulting engagement, no waiting list — you own it end to end

Tribe AI now does the work, not just the talking

Your Tribe AI assistant has stopped being a search box. Ask it for something and it builds it — no screen-switching, no configuration detour.

Key highlights

  • Create and update records — add a contact or move a deal forward straight from the chat → Learn more here

  • Create views — "all open deals above €10K" becomes a working view, filters and all → Learn more here

  • Create widgets — describe what you want on your dashboard and it appears → Learn more here

All three are live today. Open your Tribe AI chat and give it something to do.

Import a whole customer list in one pass

Getting data into Tribe used to mean splitting your spreadsheet in two — one file for the companies, another for their contacts, and a prayer that they'd match up. Now one file does both.

Key highlights

  • ✓ A single spreadsheet creates your organisations and their contacts together, correctly linked, in one run

  • ✓ Missing a field in Tribe? Create it right there in the mapping step, without leaving for Configuration

  • ✓ Map one column to multi-value fields like Tags or Relationship Type

  • ✓ Leave a cell empty and Tribe clears that field — so an import can tidy up existing data, not just add to it

See when you last spoke to a customer

The account nobody has called in four months is the one you find out about too late. Log a phone call, email or visit from a record's Activity option and Tribe keeps score for you.

Key highlights

  • Last Interaction Date updates itself — add it as a column to any list view and spot who's gone quiet

  • ✓ Ready-made dashboard widgets roll the same data up by rep, type and period, with no setup

  • ✓ Appointment, Email and Phone Call count as interactions out of the box; admins can add your own types in Configuration

Send invoices in bulk, not one by one

End-of-month invoicing was a marathon. Now you select the invoices you want and send them all at once. Tribe checks each one upfront — missing template, no product lines, no recipient email — sends everything in the background, and hands you a clear report of what went out and what needs attention.

Build a quote in one go

Adding products to an opportunity was a line-at-a-time job. Now you open the full catalogue in one view, search or filter by product group, select a whole group at once, and see the count and total value before you commit. Catalogue prices follow the pricelist and currency on the quote — what you see while browsing is what lands on the quote.

Capture LinkedIn contacts straight into Tribe

Our Chrome extension is live: Tribe CRM – Lead capture from LinkedIn, free from the Chrome Web Store. Open a profile and Tribe reads the name, title and company, checks whether that person is already in your database, and creates the contact or lead in one click — no copying fields across, no accidental duplicates.

Know what your automations are doing

For admins. One automation quietly taking too long makes the whole system feel slow — and until now there was no way to tell which one. Run-time statistics now appear as columns in the automations grid, a report shows which rule ran long and why, and admins and the rule's creator are notified automatically when a triggered automation goes over the threshold. Filter the grid straight to what needs attention.

✓ Small things, big difference

  • Decimal display is configurable per currency field, so amounts show the way your business writes them

  • Dashboard widgets show categories with a count of zero instead of hiding them — a zero now reads as a zero, not a missing row

  • Numbered lists and indentation survive in your templates, so quotes and offers come out looking the way you built them

  • Documents preview at full width on mobile

  • Image-heavy pages load noticeably faster, and company logos and contact photos are filled in for you automatically

🗺️What's Coming

Lists and columns your way

Working with lists is about to get a lot friendlier. Switch between views from a single selector, manage which columns show and in what order, and apply filters directly from the view itself. A simplified field picker makes adding the field you need quick, with no trip through configuration — so less setup work to get the overview you actually want.

A calmer activity timeline

The timeline is the screen you look at most, and it hasn't always made that easy. Every activity type moves to one consistent card layout, so information sits where you expect it on every record. Attachments show as thumbnails you can open full-screen, notes move into a sidebar you can widen to read comfortably, and each section tells you how many items it holds. One filter covers the whole timeline instead of section by section, and switching between Timeline, List and Audit trail becomes a clearly labelled choice rather than a hidden icon.

Tribe AI on the setup you already have

Describe a change in plain language and let Tribe AI apply it to your existing views, widgets and automations — not just new ones.

An activity menu that knows where you are

Creating an activity will offer only the types that make sense on the record you're on, and admins will be able to curate and reorder that list for their team.

Ask Tribe AI to export your data

Tell the chatbot what you need out of Tribe and it'll prepare the file for you.

Cleaner emails and easier campaigns

Inline signature images stop cluttering your inbox as attachments, and you'll be able to insert images directly into your emails. For marketing: a redesigned step-by-step Campaign Builder and a new drag-and-drop email layout builder.
